On Thursday 25 July 2024, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, hosted a stand-up breakfast for members of Chief Executive Women.   

Then, the Governor-General, as guest of His Excellency Dr Nguyen Dang Thang, Consulate-General of Vietnam to New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia, signed the condolence book for the late Professor Nguyễn Phú Trọng, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam.  

In the afternoon, the Governor-General hosted a lunch for representatives of multicultural communities from Greater Sydney.  

Then, the Governor-General received Ms Simone Short, Founder and Chair, and Ms Arabella Gibson, Chief Executive Officer, Gidget Foundation Australia.  

In the evening, the Governor-General, as guest of Mr Lachlan Murdoch, Chairman, attended a dinner to celebrate 60 years of The Australian.
