On Thursday 15 August 2024, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council. 

Then, the Governor-General received Ms Leann Johnston, Head of Mission Designate to Nepal. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General received Mr Pjay Shrestha, Founder, Nepali Youth leadership forum. 

Later, the Governor-General as guest of Ms Bree Pickering, Director, visited and met with staff at the National Portrait Gallery of Australia.  

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received His Excellency Kailash Raj Pokharel, Ambassador of Nepal, and Madam Basudha Pokharel.
