On Sunday 18 August 2024, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, as guest of Commander Ward Gainey RAN (Retd), President, attended the Vietnam Veterans' Remembrance Day Service.

In the evening, the Governor-General hosted a dinner in celebration of Australian success at the Venice Biennale.
