On Monday 26 August 2024, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC participated in an interview for the Outer Sanctum podcast. 

Then, the Governor-General gave Royal Assent to legislation.  

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and His Excellency Mr Simeon Beckett SC travelled from Sydney, New South Wales, to Changi Airport, Singapore. 

Following the departure of the Governor-General from Australia to Singapore, the proclamation assuming the Administration of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia was signed by Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC.
