Paris, France; Yulara, Northern Territory; Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

On Wednesday 28 August 2024, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC met with Mr Kurt Fearnley AO and family members at the Australian Embassy, Paris. 

Then, the Governor-General attended an interview with Mr Fearnley for the You Little Ripper podcast.  

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and His Excellency Mr Simeon Beckett SC, as guests of Her Excellency Ms Gillian Bird PSM, Australian Ambassador to France, attended lunch with staff and family members of the Australian Embassy, Paris. 

Then, the Governor-General attended an interview with Mr Francois Picard, Presenter, France 24. 

Later, the Governor-General and Mr Beckett, as guests of His Excellency Emmanuel Macron, President of the Republic of France, attended a reception for Heads of State attending the 2024 Paralympics. 

In the evening, the Governor-General, as Patron-in-Chief, and Mr Beckett, as guests of Ms Alison Creagh AM CSC, Honorary President, attended the 2024 Paralympics Opening Ceremony. 

Then, the Governor-General attended a phone interview with Mr Craig Reucassel, Presenter, ABC Radio Sydney. 

In the evening, Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, as Administrator of the Commonwealth, travelled from Yulara, Northern Territory to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.
