On Friday 13 September 2024, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, received Ms Caroline Linke, Assistant Secretary; and Ms Stephanie Kingsman, Director, Vietnam and Mekong Strategy Branch, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. 

Then, the Governor-General received Her Excellency Ms Nguyen Thi Thanh, Vice President of the National Assembly of Vietnam. 

Afterward, the Governor-General hosted an Investiture Ceremony for Order of Australia Honours, Conspicuous Service Decorations, Meritorious Service Awards, and Australian Bravery Decorations. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General participated in an interview with Ms Clare Armstrong, National Political Editor, News Corp. 

Then, the Governor-General recorded a video message for Australian Women in Agriculture.   

Afterwards, the Governor-General and His Excellency Mr Simeon Beckett SC hosted an Investiture Cocktail Reception.
