On Wednesday, 9 October 2024, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC met with students and teachers from The Glennie School, Newtown, Queensland, as they undertook a tour of Government House. 

Then, the Governor-General received the President of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, His Excellency Mr Jose Ramos-Horta. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General met with students and teachers from Saint Agatha’s School, Clayfield, Queensland, as they undertook a tour of Government House. 

Later, the Governor-General, as guest of Ms Fleur Anderson, Director, attended the Accelerator for Enterprising Women Kickstarter Challenge Grand Final. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General hosted an afternoon tea for the Australian Primary Principal’s Association Women’s Leadership Program. 

Then, the Governor-General met with students and teachers from Carey Baptist Grammar, Kew, Victoria, as they undertook a tour of Government House. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General received The Honourable Ken Martin KC, Chair and Mr Conrad Liveris, Executive Officer, Piddington Society.
