On Tuesday 29 October 2024, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC conducted an interview with WIN News. 

Then, the Governor-General recorded a video message for the Office for Women 50^th Anniversary, ACT Public Education Awards, Small Steps Safe Workplace Conference, Rower of the Year Awards, Surf Life Saving Australia Awards Ceremony, Superstars of Stem Graduation and Mr David Albery.  

Afterwards, the Governor-General received Ms Catherine Morris, Assistant Director, Defence Honours and Awards, Department of Defence and Mr Mark Jordan, Manager, Bravery, Order of Australia and Defence Decorations Australian Honours and Awards Secretariat.  

In the afternoon, the Governor-General met with students and teachers from Lauriston Girls Grammar School, Armadale, Victoria, as they undertook a tour of Government House. 

Then, the Governor-General travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory to Sydney, New South Wales.
