On Tuesday 12 November 2024, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC received Dr Vivienne Thom AM. 

Then, the Governor-General attended the National Emergency Medal Committee morning tea. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General met with students and teachers from Baldivis Secondary College, Baldivis, Western Australia as they undertook a tour of Government House. 

Later, the Governor-General received Ms Lynette Wood, Head of Mission Designate to the Republic of France. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General recorded video messages for Safe Workplaces Sexual Harassment Conference, National Governance Public Sector Forum, Australian Antarctic Research Conference, and 10th International Conference on Social Work in Health and Mental Health. 

Then, the Governor-General received Dr Lynda Blanchard, President, Dr Sev Ozdowski, Advisor; Dr Louise Phillips, Vice-President; Dr Nina Burridge, Executive Member; and Ms Mai-Ni Pham, Executive Member Australian Council for Human Rights Education. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory to Melbourne, Victoria. 

In the evening, the Governor-General, as guest of Ms Carolyn Nikoloski, Chief Executive Officer, delivered the 2024 Grace Groom Memorial Oration.
