On Friday 24 January 2025, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, recorded video messages for the 50th Anniversary of the Australian Honours System, and to farewell the Australian team competing in the Invictus Games. 

Then, the Governor-General and His Excellency Mr Simeon Beckett SC, as guest of Mr Kevin Sumption PSM, visited the Sydney Jewish Museum to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz.
