On Monday 24 March 2025, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory to Melbourne, Victoria.

Then, the Governor-General, as guest of Dr Rowena Coutts, Chair, and Dr Peter Steer, Chief Executive Officer, visited the Royal Children's Hospital.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General attended lunch with Dr Peter Brukner, Victorian Senior Australian of the Year 2025.

Then, the Governor-General, as guest of Mr Mark Johnston, Chairman, and Ms Tanja Johnston, Director, Australian National Veterans Arts Museum, visited the Australian Nurses Memorial Centre, Repatriation Commission Outpatients Clinic and Australian National Veterans Arts Museum and Gallery.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as Patron, and guest of Ms Claire Spencer AM, Executive Director, visited The Australian Ballet.

In the evening, the Governor-General, as guest of Air Marshal Stephen Chappell DSC CSC OAM, Chief of Air Force, attended the Avalon 2025 Defence and Industry Dinner.
