On Monday 2 December 2019, at Government House, Canberra, Their Excellencies, General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, hosted a farewell lunch in honour of His Excellency Mr Abel Guterres, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and Ambassador for the Democratic Republic of Timor Leste.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a presentation ceremony and reception for the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust’s Australian Capital Territory Fellows.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Dr Charlotte Galloway, President, attended a welcome dinner at the Commonwealth Club in Yarralumla.
