On Tuesday 19 May 2020, Their Excellencies, General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, as joint Patrons, visited and met with volunteers at Meals on Wheels, and assisted with meal deliveries to households in Canberra.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley recorded a video message for the Cancer Council’s ‘Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea’.

Later, the Governor-General recorded video messages for Thank a First Responder Day; and the National Acknowledgement for Reconciliation Week.
