On Tuesday 25 August 2020, at Government House, Canberra, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley met with students and staff of Southern Cross Catholic College via video conference following the School’s recent SchoolAid accreditation.
Afterwards, the Governor-General received representatives of Integra Service Dogs: Brigadier Mark Holmes AM MVO (Retd), Chair; Mr Ken Lloyd OAM, Co-Founder; and Mr Ben Johnson, Co-Founder and CEO.
Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with students and staff of St Luke’s Grammar School via video conference following the School’s recent SchoolAid accreditation.
Then, the Governor-General met with Ms Clare Petre via video conference to discuss the Australian Honours and Awards System.
Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Cr Adrian Schrinner, Lord Mayor, and Mr Cris Antsey, Chief of Staff, Brisbane City Council, via video conference to discuss the impact of COVID-19 on the community.
