Management of Official Residences

Heritage Register

In June 2004, under the provisions of the EPBC Act, the Minister for the Environment and Heritage determined that Government House and Admiralty House be included into the Commonwealth Heritage List, as Commonwealth owned or controlled places with significant heritage value.

The Office of the Official Secretary to the Governor-General’s Heritage Register identifies those assets that the Office manages on behalf of the Australian Government. This Heritage Register currently references the information contained on the Commonwealth Heritage List.
