On Wednesday 20 March 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Professor Linda Kristjanson AO, Vice-Chancellor, visited Swinburne University Hawthorne Campus.

Afterwards, Lady Cosgrove as Patron, and the Governor-General, as guests of Mrs Dianne Gepp, President, visited the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing at the May Downs Dance School, Melbourne.

Later, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, hosted a lunch for Melbourne-based recipients of honours and awards at The Australian Club, Melbourne.

Then, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Mrs Linda Nicholls, Chair, Melbourne Health Board, visited The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Parkville, where they met with representatives of the Governor-General’s patronages, including the National Heart Foundation and the National Stroke Foundation.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Mr Richard Deutsch, CEO, Deloitte Australia, delivered an address on Invictus Games Sydney 2018 during the Deloitte State of the Nation at Melbourne Town Hall.
