On Tuesday 19 March 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received Ms Pauline James, State President, RSL NSW Auxiliaries; Mr Ray James; Mr Paul James; Ms Leah Whalan; and Ms Anne-Maree Jacobs at Government House, Canberra.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, hosted a lunch for the Southeast Asian Heads of Mission.

Later, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Mr Mohamed Mohideen, President, Islamic Council of Victoria, visited the Melbourne Mosque to deliver condolences for the Christchurch attack.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended a dinner with Her Excellency the Honourable Linda Dessau AC, Governor of Victoria, and Mr Anthony Howard QC at Government House, Victoria.
