On Friday 1 February 2019 the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove as guests attended a breakfast to celebrate Canberra’s first cricket test match, as guests of Mr Richard Smith AO PSM, President of the Lord’s Taverners Australia (ACT), at Hotel Realm.

Afterwards, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General received the final report of the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking Superannuation and Financial Services Industry, from the Commissioner, the Honourable Kenneth Hayne AC QC, and Chief Executive Officer, Ms Toni Pirani.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended day one of the Canberra Domain Test Series, as guests of Mr Earl Eddings, Chairman, Cricket Australia, and Mr Kevin Roberts, CEO, Cricket Australia, at Manuka Oval.
