On Friday October 2018, at the Quaycentre, Sydney Olympic Park, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Ambassador of the Invictus Games, and Lady Cosgrove, attended the wheelchair basketball, as guests of Dr Janine Kirk AM, Board Director, Invictus Games Sydney 2018.

Afterwards, Their Excellencies viewed the archery finals at the Hockey Centre, Sydney Olympic Park, as guests of Dr Kirk.

Later, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove viewed the second session of the athletics, at the Athletics Centre, Sydney Olympic Park, as guests of Mr Glenn Keys AO, Board Director, Invictus Games Sydney 2018.

Then, at the Invictus Games Dining Hall, Sydney Olympic Park, Their Excellencies met with Australian athletes, as guests of Mr Campbell Rose AM, Board Director, Invictus Games.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended a dinner in honour of Mr Peter Frost’s 50th anniversary as a teacher at Waverley College, as guests of Mr Graham Leddie, Head, Waverley College, at the Royal Randwick.
