On Tuesday 23 October 2018, in Sydney, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Ambassador of the Invictus Games, and Lady Cosgrove, accompanied the Crown Prince of Denmark, His Royal Highness Prince Frederik, to Sydney Olympic Park to watch the Invictus Games.

Afterwards, at the Aquatic Centre, Sydney Olympic Park, Their Excellencies attended the swimming heats, as guests of Mr James Brown, Board Director, Invictus Games.

Later, at the Invictus Games Dining Hall, Sydney Olympic Park, Their Excellencies met with Australian athletes competing in the Invictus Games, as guests of Mr Campbell Rose AM, Board Director, Invictus Games.

Then, at the Genea Netball Centre, Sydney Olympic Park, Their Excellencies watched the powerlifting event, as guests of Mr Peter Collins, Board Director, Invictus Games.

In the evening, at the Quay Centre, Sydney Olympic Park, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended the sitting volleyball and presented gold medals, as guests of Mr Glenn Keys AO, Board Director, Invictus Games.
