On Thursday 14 June 2018, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received the Honourable Dr Brendan Nelson AO, Director, Australian War Memorial.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted an Investiture Ceremony in honour of Lieutenant-General Perry Lim Cheng Yeow (Retd), former Chief of the Singapore Defence Force.

Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from Toowoomba Grammar School; Jubilee Primary School, and Springfield Lakes State School, QLD, and St Joseph’s Primary School, Kilaben Bay, NSW as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.
