On Tuesday 20 March 2018, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, presented the Australian Government Service Medal of the late Major Brian Harper to family members: Mrs Judith Harper, Ms Prudence Harper and Lieutenant Colonel David Harper (Retd).

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a reception for Tresillian staff members.
