On Friday 2 March 2018, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Earlier, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, received the Prime Minister of New Zealand, the Right Honourable Jacinda Ardern MP, and Mr Clarke Gayford.

In the afternoon, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove met with students from Ambrose Treacy College, QLD, as they undertook a tour of Government House as a part of their visit to Canberra.
