On Thursday 22 February 2018, at Changi International Airport, Singapore, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove were welcomed to the Republic of Singapore by the High Commissioner to the Republic of Singapore, His Excellency Mr Bruce Gosper.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove received a briefing from Mr Gosper.

Later, at The Istana, the Governor-General met with the President of Singapore, Her Excellency Halimah Jacob and Mr Mohamad Abdullah Alhabshee.

Earlier, following the departure of the Governor-General from Australia on an Official Visit to the Swiss Confederation, the proclamation assuming the Administration of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia was signed by the Governor of Victoria, Her Excellency the Honourable Linda Dessau AC.
