On Tuesday 28 November 2017, at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, South Wharf, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as guest speaker, and Lady Cosgrove attended Melbourne High School’s Speech Night.

Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from Woodcrest State College, QLD, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.

Afterwards, the Governor-General wrote to His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales KCVO and Ms Meghan Markle congratulating them on the announcement of their engagement.
