Centenary Medal
The Centenary Medal was instituted to commemorate the contribution made to the Federation of Australia, Australian society and government by its citizens and other persons during the year 2001, the Centenary of Federation of Australia. |
The Centenary Medal was awarded in 2001, the centenary of federation, to recognise those who made a contribution to Australian society and government. Recipients included those whose achievements or research had a notable impact nationally and internationally, government and judicial officer holders, community volunteers and centenarians who lived through the first century of federation.
