The Vista lawn
The Vista Lawn runs from the Private Entrance of Government House to the lookout – approximately 450 metres.
The lawn is often used for events like the annual CSO Prom Concert. A special event was the Harmony Week ‘long lunch’ where more than 1,000 people from different backgrounds came together to break bread and celebrate Australia’s diversity.
On the left is The Brolga –by Queensland sculptur Nicholas Seffrin. Installed in 1969, it is loaned by the National Gallery of Australia. It is almost two metres tall and more than two and a half metres wide.
