On Tuesday 3 April 2007, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC received the Australian Ambassador-designate to the Republic of Hungary, Mr Alex Brooking.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Australian High Commissioner-designate in the Republic of Mauritius, Ms Cathy Johnstone. Later, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General received the Chairman, Official Establishments Trust, Mr Richard Griffin, AM.

On Saturday 31 March 2007, at the Great Hall, Parliament House, Canberra, Their Excellencies the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery, as Joint Patrons-in-Chief of the RSPCA, attended the 2007 RSPCA (ACT) Annual Black Tie Dinner: To Hollywood and Bacharach.

On Monday 2 April 2007, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC, as Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps, received: the Chief of Army, Lieutenant-General Peter Leahy AO; accompanied by the Head of Corps, RAAMC, Brigadier Tony Gill; the Corps RSM, WO1 Mustafa Jesenkovic; and the Representative Honorary Colonel, RAAMC, Dr Bruce Perks.

On Friday, 30 March 2007, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC, received from His Excellency Mr Zhang Junsai, Letters of Credence accrediting him as Ambassador of the People's Republic of China. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr??Li??Jiangning (Minister/Counsellor and Deputy Head of Mission); Mr Liu Zuozhang (Minister/Counsellor (Commerce)); and Colonel Tong Jie (Deputy Military Attache), Embassy of the People's Republic of China.

On Thursday 29 March 2007, at Government House Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

On Wednesday 28 March 2007, at the Hyatt Hotel Canberra, Their Excellencies the Governor-General, Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery attended the Business Leaders' Forum on Climate Change, at which the Governor-General delivered the opening address.

On Tuesday 27 March 2007, at Government House, Canberra, Their Excellencies the Governor-General, Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery hosted a Garden Party for members of the Diplomatic Corps.

Earlier, the Governor-General was represented at Sydney International Airport at the arrival in Australia of His Excellency Mr Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda, by Colonel Bill Monfries, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.

On Monday 26 March 2007, at Swanbourne Barracks, WA, Their Excellencies the Governor-General, Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery attended a ceremony to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Special Air Service, at which the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Force and Honorary Colonel of the SAS Regiment, launched the 50th Anniversary Australian SAS 1957 - 2007 Coin.

On Sunday 25 March 2007, at Scarborough Beach, WA, Their Excellencies attended the 100 Years of Heroes Memorial Service, at which the Governor-General, as Patron of Surf Lifesaving Australia and Patron-in-Chief of the 2007 Year of the Surf Lifesaver, read the First Lesson. Afterwards, Their Excellencies attended the final day of the Australian Surf Life Saving Championships, at which the Governor-General delivered an address and presented medals to the Under 15 Ironman and Ironwoman Champions.

On Saturday 24 March 2007, at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC, as Personal Patron of the Australian Army Training Team Vietnam Association, laid a wreath at a service to commemorate the 45th Anniversary of the formation of the AATTV.

In the afternoon, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Marlena Jeffery hosted a reception to mark the 45th Anniversary of the formation of the AATTV.
