Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a lunch in honour of Dr Gerard Vaughan AM, the outgoing Director of the National Gallery of Australia.

Later, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted an afternoon tea at Government House for participants of the Leadership Ballarat and Western Region program.

On Monday 18 June 2018, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), hosted an afternoon tea for Dr Cecilia Malmström, Commissioner for Trade, European Union, at Government House, Canberra.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received Monsignor Emmanuel Fadeyi, Charge D’Affaires, Apostolic Nunciature.

Later, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove received Councillor John Sipek, Mayor, Moonee Valley City Council, and Mrs Kathy Sipek.

On Sunday 17 June 2018, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, received the Honourable Malcolm Turnbull MP, Prime Minister of Australia.

On Thursday 14 June 2018, Gungahlin, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as guest of Ms Lorraine Litster, President, read the morning news to visually-impaired listeners in the Canberra, Wagga Wagga, and Junee area through the Radio 1RPH network.

On Thursday 14 June 2018, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received the Honourable Dr Brendan Nelson AO, Director, Australian War Memorial.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted an Investiture Ceremony in honour of Lieutenant-General Perry Lim Cheng Yeow (Retd), former Chief of the Singapore Defence Force.

On Wednesday 13 June 2018, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, received the Honourable Rick Houenipwela MP, Prime Minister of the Solomon Islands and Madam Rachel Houenipwela, at Government House, Canberra.

Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from Hornsby North Public School, NSW, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.

On Sunday 10 June 2018 the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, attended a Samoan Church service at the Congregational Christian Church of Samoa, Willawong, as guests of Reverend Elder Tauaaga Mataafa.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove visited Orange Sky Australia’s new headquarters in Albion, inspected the workshop, and met with staff and volunteers, as guests of founders, Mr Nicholas Marchesi and Mr Lucas Patchette.

On Saturday 9 June 2018 the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Commander-in-Chief, and Lady Cosgrove, attended the 2018 Trooping of the Queen’s Colour at Rond Terrace, Campbell.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Mr Anthony French, Head of Professional Rugby, Rugby Australia, attended the first match of the Wallabies v Ireland June series at Suncorp Stadium, Milton.

On Friday 8 June 2018 the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, attended the unveiling of the official portrait of Corporal Cameron Baird VC MG, at Box Hill RSL, as guests Mr Tony Bowden OAM, Branch President.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove officially opened Vision Australia’s Wicking Centre, Kooyong, as guests of Mr Andrew Moffatt, Chairman, Vision Australia.
