On Tuesday 8 May 2018, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Commander-in-Chief, attended the Australian Defence Force Association’s Chief of the Defence Force Cup, as guest of President, Air Marshal Leo Davies AO CSC, at Fairbairn Golf Course, Canberra.
Afterwards, Lady Cosgrove laid a wreath at the Nurses and Midwives Remembrance and Thanksgiving Wreath Laying ceremony, as guest of Director, Australian War Memorial, The Honourable Dr Brendan Nelson AO.
On Monday 7 May 2018, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Prior, and Lady Cosgrove, hosted an Investiture Ceremony for members of the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem.
Earlier, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General met with students from Golden Bay Primary School, WA, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.
On Friday 4 May 2018, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, hosted an Investiture Ceremony for Order of Australia honours and bravery decorations. In the evening, the Governor-General hosted an Investiture Dinner.
On Thursday 3 May 2018, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, hosted Investiture Ceremonies for Order of Australia honours and bravery decorations.
Afterwards, at Sydney International Airport, the Governor-General was represented by Honorary Aide-de-Camp, Group Captain Karon Millett ADC, at the departure from Australia of the President of the French Republic, His Excellency Mr Emmanuel Macron.

On Tuesday 22 May 2018, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as patron of The Australian Ballet, and Lady Cosgrove, hosted a reception at Government House for staff and performers prior to the Canberra season of The Merry Widow.
Afterwards, the Governor-General was represented at Brisbane International Airport by Honorary Aide-de-Camp Commander Mark McConnell ADC RAN for the arrival to Australia of the President of Fiji, His Excellency Major General Jiosi Konousi Konorote (Retd),.
On Tuesday 1 May 2018, at Sydney International Airport, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) was represented by Mr Mark Fraser LVO OAM, Official Secretary to the Governor-General, for the arrival in Australia of His Excellency Mr Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic.

On Saturday 28 April 2018, at the Sydney Opera House, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Chair, The Australian Ballet, Mr Craig Dunn, attended the opening performance of The Merry Widow.
