- Governor-General presents military colours to No. 2 Squadron

The Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief, presented No. 2 Squadron with their military colours at RAAF Base Williamtown, Newcastle. Ms Bryce was accorded a Royal Salute and inspected the parade and band before formally presenting the colours to the Colour Bearer.

- Memorial for Ms Joan Bielski AO; Reception for the Young Endeavour Youth Scheme

On Wednesday 28 November 2012, at Parliament House, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, attended the memorial celebration for Ms Joan Bielski AO, at which the Governor-General delivered an address.

- Governor-General marks the 25th anniversary of the Young Endeavour Youth Scheme

The Governor-General, as Patron of the Young Endeavour Youth Scheme, hosted an event celebrating the scheme’s 25th anniversary with supporters and alumni at Admiralty House, Sydney. Speaking to guests, Ms Bryce said the scheme had made a difference to the lives of over 11,000 young Australian participants since 1988.

On Tuesday 27 November 2012, at Doltone House, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, as guest of the Director, Ms Helen Conway, launched the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency’s 2012 Australian Census of Women in Leadership.

The Governor-General launched the Equal Opportunity in the Workplace Agency (EOWA) 2012 Australian Census of Women at a luncheon in Sydney. The Census measures the number of women on board and executive positions in companies listed on the Australian Securities Exchange.

A short film highlighting the need for continued support for research into cerebral palsy prevention and cure was launched by the Governor-General at Admiralty House, Sydney.

- Access to Life Exhibition

On Monday 26 November 2012, in Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO met with former Prime Minister the Honourable Gough Whitlam AC QC.

- Asia Pacific women journalists call on the Governor-General

At Admiralty House in Sydney, a group of women journalists from the Asia Pacific region called on the Governor-General to discuss issues affecting women in their countries. The magazine, radio and newspaper journalists came from Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vanuatu, the Solomon islands and Tonga.

- Launch of Access to Life Exhibition

In Sydney, the Governor-General launched the "Access to Life" photographic exhibition in recognition of World AIDS Day. As Patron of the Pacific Friends of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, Ms Bryce discussed progress in the fight against AIDS in Australia.

On Saturday 24 November 2012, at the National Arboretum, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Chief Minister, Ms Katy Gallagher MLA, attended the annual Voices in the Forest concert.

On Friday 23 November 2012, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, received the Australian Ambassador-designate to the Kingdom of Belgium, Mr Duncan Lewis AO DSC CSC. Afterwards, the Governor-General received His Royal Highness Prince Philippe of Belgium.

On Thursday 22 November 2012, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council. Afterwards, the Governor-General received the High Commissioner-designate to Trinidad and Tobago, Mr Ross Tysoe AO.

On Wednesday 21 November 2012, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, received from His Excellency Mr Nadjib Riphat, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia.

- Governor-General receives Letters of Credence

The Governor-General received Letters of Credence from five ambassadorial representatives at Government House, Canberra. Among the five ambassador-designates to present their credentials, three were from neighbouring Asian countries.
