On Friday 27 April 2018, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

In the evening, at the Residence of France, Canberra, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Ambassador of the French Republic, His Excellency Mr Christophe Penot, attended a dinner in honour of former Ambassador to the French Republic, Mr Stephen Brady AO CVO.

On Wednesday 25 April 2018, at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Commander-in-Chief, and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Director, Australian War Memorial, the Honourable Dr Brendan Nelson AO, attended the 2018 ANZAC Day Dawn Service.

Afterwards, the Governor-General attended the 2018 ANZAC Day National Ceremony and reviewed the veterans march. Then, Their Excellencies laid a wreath at the Stone of Remembrance and a floral tribute in the Hall of Memory.

On Monday 23 April 2018, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) met with students from Hale School, WA, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.

On Sunday 22 April 2018, at Government House, Canberra, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Patron, National Gallery of Australia Foundation, and Lady Cosgrove, hosted a morning tea.

On Saturday 21 April 2018, at the Australian Federal Police Majura Training Facility, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Brigadier Michael Ashleigh, visited Australian Army Cadets completing their Adventure Training Award.

In the afternoon, at Broadwater Parklands, Southport, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Chairman, Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Corporation, the Honourable Peter Beattie AC, attended a thank you event for volunteers of the Commonwealth Games.

On Friday 20 April 2018, at Longreach, Queensland, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of CEO, Queensland Agricultural Training Colleges, Mr Mark Tobin, visited the Longreach Pastoral College.

Afterwards, at Winton, Queensland, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Mayor, Winton Shire Council, Councillor Gavin Baskett, officially opened the Waltzing Matilda Centre.

On Thursday 19 April 2018, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

In the morning, at the National Convention Centre, Canberra, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Chair, Australian Trucking Association, Mr Geoff Crouch, attended the opening breakfast for the Australian Trucking Association’s annual conference, Trucking Australia 2018.

On Wednesday 18 April 2018, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) received from His Excellency Mr Baeksoon Lee, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Jin-weon Chae (Minister and Consul-General), Colonel Sungman Choi (Defence Attaché), and Mr Jinhae Kim (Counsellor). The Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove also received Mrs Jeeyoon Chun.

On Tuesday 17 April 2018, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) met with students from Santa Maria College, WA, and Perth College, WA, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.

On Monday 16 April 2018, at Torrensville, SA, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chief Executive Officer, Ms Maggie Dowling, visited Bedford Group to view the facilities and met with Special Olympic athlete employees.

Afterwards, at Titanium Security Arena, Findon, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended the 2018 Special Olympics Opening Ceremony.
