On Tuesday 19 June 2012, at the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art, Brisbane, the Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, as guest of the Gallery Director, Mr Tony Ellwood and the Director of Philip Bacon Galleries, Mr Phillip Bacon AM, attended a lunch.

Afterwards, at the Wesley Research Institute, the Governor-General, as guest of Professor Elizabeth Blackburn AC, attended the seminar, ‘Telomeres and Telomerase: Implication for Understanding Cancer and Ageing in Humans’.

On Friday 15 June 2012, at Lake George Winery, the Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, as guest of the Chief Executive Officer and Publisher of Fairfax Regional Media, Mr Allan Browne, officially launched the Connect Pink social media site.

The Governor-General launched Connect Pink - a new social media network connecting women living in rural and regional Australia.

Ms Bryce joined Fairfax Regional CEO Mr Allan Browne and guests at the Lake George Winery near Canberra for the launch. She was joined by former Australian cricketer Glenn McGrath at the launch. The McGrath Foundation will be a recipient for donations from Connect Pink users' sign-up fees.

On Thursday 14 June 2012, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark, Her Excellency Ms Susanne Shine and Mr Tony Shine.

Later, the Governor-General received the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, His Excellency Mr Taeyong Cho.

On Wednesday 13 June 2012, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, His Excellency Mr Oğuz Özge.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, received a Judge of the Queensland Court of Appeal, the Honourable Justice Margaret White and Dr Michael White QC.

On Tuesday 12 June 2012, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, received the High Commissioner for the Sultanate of Brunei Darussalam, His Excellency Mr Adnan Jaafar and Ms Pengiran Salina Pengiran Haji Alli.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Ambassador-designate to Chile, Mr Timothy Kane.

On Saturday 9 June 2012, the Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, returned from a State Visit to the Republic of Cyprus and Official Visit to the United Kingdom.

Earlier, at Brisbane International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the arrival in Australia of the Governor-General of the Solomon Islands, His Excellency Sir Frank Ofagioro Kabui CSI CMG OBE, by Group Captain Guy Burton CSC ADC, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.

On Thursday 7 June 2012, at the Pathway of Honour, Adelaide, the Administrator, Rear Admiral Kevin Scarce AC CSC RANR and Mrs Liz Scarce, as guests of the President of the 9th Battalion Royal Australian Regiment Association of South Australia, Mr David Stacey, unveiled a memorial to the 43rd Infantry Battalion Australian Imperial Force.
