The Tribal Warrior mentoring program received a visit from the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, at the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence in Redfern, NSW.

The Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove spent time with families, staff and volunteers at Ronald McDonald House in Randwick, NSW. Randwick is one of 13 Ronald McDonald Houses in Australia which provide a home away from home for families of seriously ill children undergoing treatment.

On Monday 7 April 2014, at Wandong, Victoria, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the co-founders of BlazeAid, Mr Kevin Butler OAM and Mrs Rhonda Butler OAM, met with volunteers and supporters of BlazeAid and farmers affected by the February bushfires.

More than 200 volunteers and supporters of BlazeAid, and farmers affected by the February 2014 bushfires welcomed the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove during their first official community visit, to the BlazeAid Wandong Base Camp in Victoria.

The Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove visit the bushfire-affected property of Scott and Liz Pape, at Chintin, Victoria. The property sustained significant damage during the February 2014 bushfires including the loss of the family home.
