On Friday 24 March 2017, at Ferguson Park, Enoggera, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the President of the Royal Australian Regiment Association Queensland, Lieutenant Colonel Ted Chitham MC OAM (Retd), opened the new Royal Australian Regiment memorial.

In the afternoon, at Spicers Retreat, Grandchester, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Flight Centre Travel Group Limited, Mr Graham Turner, opened the Hidden Vale UQ Wildlife Centre.

On Thursday 23 March 2017, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Earlier, the Governor-General received the Governor of South Australia, His Excellency the Honourable Hieu Van Le AC and the Official Secretary to the Governor of South Australia, Mr Hugh Borrowman.

Afterwards, at Kingston Oval, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove opened the DreamCricket Gala Day.

On Wednesday 22 March 2017, at Parliament House, Canberra, Her Excellency Lady Cosgrove, as Ambassador, attended the official launch of the Kookaburra Kids Program for Serving and Ex-Serving Australian Defence Force families.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), at Government House, Canberra, received video calls from students attending Esperance Primary School, WA; and Aratula State School, QLD, as part of their civics and citizenship classes.

On Tuesday 21 March 2017, at Admiralty House, Sydney, Her Excellency Lady Cosgrove hosted an Open Home Open Heart lunch in recognition of Harmony Day. On Saturday 18 March 2017, at Allianz Stadium, Moore Park, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chief Executive Officer of the New South Wales Rugby Waratahs, Mr Andrew Hore, attended the 2017 Super Rugby Waratahs versus Brumbies match.

On Thursday 16 March 2017, at Government House, Canberra, Her Excellency Lady Cosgrove hosted a reception for attendees of the 2017 National Schools Constitutional Convention (NSCC). The NSCC brings together 120 Year 11 and 12 students from across Australia to discuss and debate constitutional issues.

On Wednesday 15 March 2017, at Dorrington, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Commander-in-Chief, attended the funeral for the late Neil Weekes AM MC.

Afterwards, at Gallipoli Barracks, Enoggera, the Governor-General as Commander-in-Chief, met with Commander 1st Division, Major General Paul McLachlan AM CSC.

On Friday 10 March 2017, at the Pialligo Estate Glasshouse, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), attended a memorial service for the late Pamela Harvey.

In the evening, at Government House, Canberra, Her Excellency Lady Cosgrove, hosted a reception for the National Gallery of Australia Foundation.

On Thursday 9 March 2017, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General met with students from Seaton High School, SA, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.
