On Wednesday 14 October 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received from His Excellency Mr Mohamed Khairat, Letters of Credence accrediting him as Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Sherif Hussein (First Secretary) and Mr Alhassan Soliman (First Secretary). The Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove also received Mrs Omneya Negm.

On Tuesday 13 October 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received from Her Excellency Dr Batilda Burian, Letters of Credentials accrediting her as the High Commissioner for the United Republic of Tanzania.

Earlier, at Government House, Lady Cosgrove hosted a morning tea for Carers Australia, to Launch National Carers Week.

At Government House, Canberra, Lady Cosgrove as Patron, accompanied by the Governor-General, hosted a music afternoon featuring a performance by the Klavier Music Association.

On Saturday 10 October 2015, at Narrabeen, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) as Patron, and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Chief Executive Officer, RSL LifeCare, Mr Ron Thompson, visited ‘Homes for Heroes’, where they viewed facilities and met with young veterans in residence.

On Friday 9 October 2015, in Rose Bay, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the President, The Royal Sydney Golf Club, Mr Graeme Bailey, laid a wreath at a Remembrance Service.

In the evening, at The Royal Sydney Golf Club, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Mr Bailey, attended ‘The Royal Sydney Remembers’ Dinner, at which the Governor-General delivered the keynote address.

On Thursday 8 October 2015, at Goulburn High School, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Principal, Mr Peter Browne, met with staff and students.

Afterwards, at Goulburn Mulwaree Civic Centre, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Mayor of Goulburn Mulwaree, Councillor Geoff Kettle, attended a civic reception where Their Excellencies met with staff and volunteers from local charities and community groups.

Afterwards, at the NSW Police Academy, Goulburn, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Assistant Commissioner Michael Corboy APM, attended the NSW Police Force Peer Support Officers Conference Dinner.
