On Monday 30 November 2009, at Sydney University, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC, as Patron, attended the Older Women's Network Australia Annual Conference.

Afterwards, in Parramatta, New South Wales, the Governor-General, as guest of the Principal, Ms Anthea Donaldson, visited staff and students at the Parramatta West Public School. In the evening, at the Four Season's Hotel, Sydney, the Governor-General delivered an address at the 21st Annual Ethnic Business Awards Gala Dinner.

On Friday 20 November 2009, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE hosted a morning tea for members of the Australian Samoan Community in support of those affected by the recent tsunami.
