On Tuesday 18 September 2012, at Government House, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO hosted a lunch for the African women participants of the AusAID Australian Leadership Awards and the Leadership for Development Conference.

- Governor-General visits the Temora Agricultural Research Station

On the second day of a visit to Temora, the Governor-General marked the 100th anniversary of the Temora Research Station, which provides agricultural information to communities throughout southern New South Wales.

- Governor-General arrives in Temora, NSW

The Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce spent two days with the community of Temora, NSW. During the visit, Mr David Lowy AM, President and Founder of the Temora Aviation Museum, invited Ms Bryce and Mr Bryce to the ‘Fighter’ Showcase Day where they met local residents and viewed historical aircraft maintained at the site.

On Friday 14 September 2012, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, received the Apostolic Nuncio for the Holy See, His Excellency Archbishop Giuseppe Lazzarotto.

At the Hellenic Club in Woden, Canberra, Mr Michael Bryce was invited as guest speaker to the Probus Association of Canberra’s monthly meeting. Mr Bryce addressed over 200 Probus members and spoke about his former career as an architect and graphic designer, before arriving at Government House.

Mr Michael Bryce joined Defence personnel, diplomatic representatives and veterans to mark the 72nd anniversary of the Battle of Britain. The service, in the Western Courtyard of the Australian War Memorial, included a commemorative address by Air Marshall David Evans AC DSO AFC.

At Government House in Canberra, the Governor-General hosted participants of the 2012 Australasian Law Reform Agencies Conference. Ms Bryce and Mr Michael Bryce met participants and discussed the biennial conference, which aims to share intelligence and experience among institutional law reform bodies.

Afterwards, the Governor-General hosted the Ceremonial Welcome of the President of the Republic of Chile, His Excellency Mr Sebastián Piñera.
