On Monday 1 October 2012, at Brisbane International Airport, the Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, was represented at the departure from Australia of the President of the Republic of Nauru, His Excellency the Honourable Sprent Dabwido MP, by Commander Lachlan King ADC RAN, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
On Sunday 30 September 2012, at Brisbane International Airport, the Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, was represented at the arrival in Australia of the President of the Republic of Nauru, His Excellency the Honourable Sprent Dabwido MP, by Group Captain Brian Duddington AM ADC, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.

On Friday 28 September 2012, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, hosted a morning tea for Legacy widows.
As Patron of the National Police Memorial in Canberra, the Governor-General joined serving officers and their families on National Police Remembrance Day to remember police force members who have been killed in the line of duty.

Australian artist Ralph Heimans produced the portrait, which is the only one to be painted in The Queen's Diamond Jubilee year.

The Governor-General, as Patron of Canberra Legacy, and Mr Michael Bryce met Canberra war widows during an event at Government House, Canberra.
During the event, Giralang Primary School choir students performed a variety of musical pieces for the war widows.

The Governor-General administered the Affirmation of Office to the new Administrator of the Territories of Christmas Island and Cocos (Keeling) Islands, His Honour Mr Jon Stanhope, during a ceremony at Government House, Canberra.
On Wednesday 26 September 2012, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, received from His Excellency Dr Hassan El-Laithy, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Afterwards, the Governor-General hosted a recital for the Southern Cross Soloists.
On Friday 21 September 2012, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended, and the Governor-General, as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, conducted an Investiture Ceremony.
During a ceremony at Government House in Canberra, the Governor-General, as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, invested 32 recipients with Queen’s Birthday Honours.
On Thursday 20 September 2012, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended, and the Governor-General, as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, conducted Investiture Ceremonies.
The Governor-General, as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, invested 54 recipients with Queen’s Birthday Honours and a Bravery Award at Government House, Canberra.
On Wednesday 19 September 2012, at Government House, Mr Michael Bryce AM AE received the former Chief Executive Officer of the International Cricket Council, Mr Malcolm Speed.
