On Tuesday 29 January 2019 the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as guest of Professor Ned Pankhurst, Acting Vice-Chancellor, visited the Malaria Vaccine Project, at Griffith University, Gold Coast.
Afterwards, the Governor-General, as Patron of the 9RAR Association, attended the funeral of LTCOL Ivan Clark (Retd), at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gold Coast.
On Saturday 26 January 2019 the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, attended the National Flag Raising and Citizenship Ceremony, at which the Governor-General led the Australian citizenship affirmation, at Rond Terrace, Canberra.
In the evening the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted an Australian Day Citizenship Ceremony, at Admiralty House.
On Friday 25 January 2019 the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General issued the Oath of Executive Councillor and Oath of Office to the Honourable Mr Andrew Gee MP, Parliamentary Secretary to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development.
