On Friday 25 November 2011, at the ACT Legislative Assembly Exhibition Room, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, as Patron of the YWCA of Canberra, and in recognition of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, officially launched the ‘Rosenstrasse 76’ exhibition.

Afterwards, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General received the Chair of the Australian Peacekeeping Memorial Project, Major General Tim Ford AO (Ret’d).

On Wednesday 23 November 2011, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Ambassador-designate to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr Ralph King.

Later, the Governor-General met with students of New Farm State School.

Then, the Governor-General received the Prime Minister, the Honourable Julia Gillard MP.

In the afternoon, in Woden, Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as Patron, met with members of the Woden Senior Citizen’s Club.

On Tuesday 22 November 2011, at Defence Establishment Fairbairn, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO attended the arrival of Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of the Kingdom of Denmark.

Afterwards, the Governor-General welcomed Their Royal Highnesses the Crown Prince and Crown Princess of Denmark on their arrival at Government House.

On Sunday 20 November 2011, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE received the Australian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark, Mr James Choi.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce received His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik and Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of the Kingdom of Denmark.

Marysville Community Centre Official Opening; Murrindindi Shire ladies afternoon tea

On Saturday 19 November 2011, at Marysville, Victoria, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Mayor of Murrindindi Shire Council, Councillor Peter Beales, and Chief Executive Officer, Ms Margaret Abbey attended a community reception at which the Governor-General officially opened the Marysville Community Centre.

Afterwards, the Governor-General hosted an afternoon tea for women from the Murrindindi Shire.

Visit to Lifeline Canberra

On Friday 18 November 2011, in Civic, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO met with Lifeline Canberra staff and volunteers.

Earlier, at Sydney International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the arrival in Australia of the President of the Republic of Vanuatu, His Excellency Mr Iolu Johnson Abbil, by Commander Theodore Wynberg ADC RAN, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.

Wreath laying ceremony with the President of the United States of America; Scouts Awards Presentation

On Thursday 17 November 2011, at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO attended a wreath laying ceremony with the President of the United States of America, the Honourable Barack Obama.

Afterwards, at Defence Establishment Fairbairn, the Governor-General attended the departure from Canberra of the President of the United States of America.

Later, at Government House, the Governor-General, as Chief Scout, hosted a presentation ceremony for Scouts Australia ACT Branch and presented the Queen’s Scout and Baden Powell Awards.
