On Saturday 20 October 2007, at St George's Cathedral, Perth, the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC, was represented at the State Funeral of the late the Honourable Kim Edward Beazley AO, by Wing Commander Anthony Thorpe, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
