On Saturday 23 February 2013, following the departure of the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO to undertake an official visit to the Republic of Korea, the proclamation assuming the Administration of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia was signed by the Governor of New South Wales, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bash
- Governor-General arrives in the Republic of Korea for Presidential Inauguration
The Governor-General arrived in Seoul, Republic of Korea, to represent Australia at the Inauguration of the President, Madame Park Geun-hye.
Ms Bryce, as Commander-in-Chief, will also commemorate the 60th anniversary of the end of the Korean War and the sacrifices made by Australian Defence personnel between 1950 and 1953.
On Friday 22 February 2013, at Exhibition Park, Mitchell, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the President of the Royal National Capital Agricultural Society, Mr Rod Crompton, attended the 2013 ActewAGL Royal Canberra Show and viewed the exhibitions.
The Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce continued to mark the Centenary of Canberra celebrations at the Royal Canberra Show.
Ms Bryce and Mr Bryce were welcomed to the Show by the President of the Royal National Capital Agricultural Society, Mr Rod Crompton, before presenting sashes to equestrian event winners.
On Thursday 21 February 2013, at the Australian Academy of Science, Acton, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, as guest of the President of the Australian Academy of Science, Professor Suzanne Cory AC, officially launched the publication ‘Negotiating our future: Living scenarios for Australia to 2050.’

A new publication that addresses issues of environmental sustainability and social equity in Australia was launched by the Governor-General at the Shine Dome, Australian Academy of Science in Acton.

On Wednesday 20 February 2013, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, received from His Excellency Mr Pasi Patokallio, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Republic of Finland.
- Governor-General officially opens Lady Heydon House
The Governor-General officially opened YWCA of Canberra’s Lady Heydon House in Spence, which will provide five elderly clients with safe and affordable housing.
Ms Bryce was escorted through the new home, which was named after YWCA past President, Ms Naomi Heydon, before meeting guests at the opening.
On Monday 18 February 2013, in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Manager, Mrs Susan Macgillycuddy, met with staff and clients at the Kurrajong Waratah Early Intervention Centre.

During a visit to Wagga Wagga, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce met staff, clients and their families at the Kurrajong Waratah Early Childhood Intervention Centre.
The Centre offers therapy and support programs for children aged up to 6 years who have a disability, or experience delays in development.

The Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief, visited trainees and staff at the Army Recruit Training Centre at Blamey Barracks, Kapooka.
Ms Bryce and Mr Michael Bryce joined new recruits for morning tea before viewing training activities around the Centre with the Commandant, Colonel David Hay.
The Governor-General saw the devastating impact of recent bushfires around the Warrumbungle Shire during a visit to Coonabarabran in north west New South Wales.
Ms Bryce and Mr Michael Bryce attended a community barbecue with residents of some of the 51 homes and 113 farm buildings affected by the bushfires.
BlazeAid volunteers assisting with the bushfire recovery effort in Coonabarabran met the Governor-General during her recent visit to the region.
Ms Bryce and Mr Michael Bryce visited a bushfire-affected farming property and saw the new fencing being built by BlazeAid volunteers.

On Sunday 17 February 2013, in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, as guest of the Mayor of the Wagga Wagga City Council, Councillor Rod Kendall, launched the Junior Teams World Championship Gumi Race, and met with crew members.

The Governor-General sounded the horn for the start of the Junior Teams Gumi Race during a visit to Wagga Wagga, NSW.
Ms Bryce, who was revisiting the community after the 2012 floods, joined the locals for the annual rubber tube race down the Murrumbidgee River.

Ms Bryce and Mr Bryce met residents at a newly built community park, before visiting homes to see ongoing recovery efforts.
The Governor-General met youth leaders and Wiradjuri elders during a visit to the Ngurra Youth Hub in Wagga Wagga.
Ms Bryce and Mr Michael Bryce were welcomed with traditional Indigenous performances by the dance group Maliyaa before joining discussions with the elders.
