On the eve of International Women's Day, the Governor-General celebrated with supporters of the International Women's Development Agency (IWDA) at the "Half the Sky" concert at the Melbourne Recital Centre. Ms Bryce, who is Patron of IWDA, gave the keynote address to over 700 guests at the IWDA event.

On Wednesday 6 March 2013, at the National Museum, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, as guest of the Director of the National Museum, Mr Andrew Sayers AM, officially opened the ‘Glorious Days: Australia 1913’ exhibition, as part of the Centenary of Canberra celebrations.

An exhibition of historic treasures and memories was opened by the Governor-General at the National Museum of Australia, Canberra. 'Glorious Days: Australia 1913', held in Canberra's centenary year, is a collection of artworks, objects and artefacts representative of Australia in 1913.

As Commander-in-Chief, the Governor-General commemorated the 60th anniversary of Australia's involvement in the Korean War 'with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Korean War Memorial, Seoul.

- Governor-General hosts lunch for the Australian and Korean business community

The Governor-General hosted leading South Korean and Australian executives for a business lunch in Seoul. Ms Bryce stressed the importance of the bilateral relationship with the Republic of Korea, which is Australia's third-largest export market and fourth-largest trading partner.

The Governor-General held a roundtable meeting with some of the Republic of Korea's leading women during a visit to the EWHA Women's University in Seoul. The President of the University, Professor Kim Sun-Uk, welcomed Ms Bryce before she attended the meeting with women representatives from business, politics and academia.

The Governor-General represented Australia at the Inauguration of the President of the Republic of Korea, Her Excellency Park Geun-hye, at the National Assembly in Seoul.
