Defence Long Service Medal
The Defence Long Service Medal was instituted to recognise those who have rendered long and efficient service as members of the Australian Defence Force or in association with the Defence Force. |
The Defence Long Service Medal may be awarded to those who have completed 15 years of qualifying remunerated service in the Australian Defence Force, on or after the 14 February 1975. Those who have rendered long and efficient service in Permanent and Reserve Forces may also be eligible. Additional periods of five years efficient service in or in association with the Defence Force may also be recognised with a clasp.
