On Monday 3 June 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Mrs Danielle Hall, Principal, attended a citizenship ceremony at Driver Primary School, Driver.

Later, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Mayor Athina Pascoe-Bell, Mayor of Palmerston, attended a community morning tea with Defence Families at the City of Palmerston Council Chambers, Palmerston.

Darwin, Northern Territory

On Sunday 2 June 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Mr Michael Soler, Northern Territory Regional Leader, Mission Australia, visited the Stringybark Alcohol and Other Drug Rehabilitation Centre, Berrimah.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Ms Allison Grierson, Executive Director, visited the Royal Darwin Hospital.

On Saturday 1 June 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Commander-in-Chief, and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Major General Mark Kelly AO DSC (Retd), Colonel Commandant, Royal Australian Regiment, attend the 5th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment (5RAR), Colours Parade at Bicentennial Park, Darwin.

On Friday 31 May 2019, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove received Mr Keith Payne VC AM and Mrs Flo Payne.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted an afternoon tea for New South Wales-based patronages.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a dinner for New South Wales-based recipients of honours and awards.

On Thursday 30 May 2019, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received Her Excellency Dr Anna Prinz, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, for a farewell call.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted an event for Government House staff to acknowledge National Reconciliation Week.

Later, the Governor-General received Mr James Brown, President of Returned Services League NSW.

On Wednesday 29 May 2019, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received the Prime Minister, the Honourable Scott Morrison MP.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a ceremony at which the Governor-General issued the Oaths of Office to the Honourable Scott Morrison MP, Prime Minister and Minister for the Public Service; and the Honourable Michael McCormack MP, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development.

On Tuesday 28 May 2019, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), met with Officers from the Australian Defence College as they undertook a tour of Government House.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a reception for a delegation from the Indian National Defence College.

On Thursday 23 May 2019 at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, met with Mr Rob de Castella, Director, and the 2019 Indigenous Marathon Project squad.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Denmark WA RSL Youth Achievement Award winner.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of His Excellency Isaiya Kabira, Dean, African Diplomatic Corps, attended the 2019 Africa Day reception at the Hellenic Club, Canberra.

On Wednesday 22 May 2019, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), conducted an interview with Ms Lorraine Lister for Radio 1RPH.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted students from Curtin Primary School, ACT, for a reading of Matt Cosgrove’s ‘Alpacas with Maracas’, as part of the Australian Library and Information Association’s National Simultaneous Storytime.
