On Tuesday 27 February 2018, at St Martin’s Cemetery, Vevey, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Director External Relations, Commonwealth War Graves Commission, Ms Liz Sweet, participated in a Commemorative Service, viewed Australian War Graves and laid a wreath.

In the afternoon, at the Swiss Federal Assembly, Bern, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove met with the President of the Swiss Confederation, His Excellency Mr Alain Berset.

On Monday 26 February 2018, at Palais de Nations, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Director-General of the United Nations Office Geneva, Mr Micahel Møller, delivered Australia’s National Statement to the High-Level Segment of the 37th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General met with the United Nations Secretary-General, His Excellency Mr António Guterres.

On Sunday 25 February 2018, at Abu Dhabi International Airport, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, were farewelled from the United Arab Emirates by the Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, His Excellency Mr Arthur Spyrou and Mrs Britt Spyrou.

On Saturday 24 February 2018, at the Baghdad Diplomatic Security Centre, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Commander-in-Chief, received a briefing and met with Australian Defence Force personnel.

Afterwards, at the Presidential Palace, Baghdad, the Governor-General met with the President of the Republic of Iraq, His Excellency President Fouad Massoum.

On Thursday 22 February 2018, at Changi International Airport, Singapore, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove were welcomed to the Republic of Singapore by the High Commissioner to the Republic of Singapore, His Excellency Mr Bruce Gosper.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove received a briefing from Mr Gosper.

Later, at The Istana, the Governor-General met with the President of Singapore, Her Excellency Halimah Jacob and Mr Mohamad Abdullah Alhabshee.

Afterwards, at Bathurst RSL Club, the Governor-General as guest of the Mayor of Bathurst City Council, Mayor Graeme Hanger OAM, attended a civic reception.
