On Wednesday 5 June 2013, at Government House, Sydney, the Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO, received the Chief Executive Officer, National Mental Health Commission, Ms Robyn Kruk, and the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Ms Georgie Harman.

At the Palais des Académies in Brussels, the Governor-General attended an event with Belgian and Australian business leaders. Afterwards, at the Colonne des Congrés, the Governor-General laid a wreath at the Belgian Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

The Governor-General met the King of the Belgians, His Majesty King Albert II, at the Royal Palace Laeken in Belgium.

At the European Council in Belgium, the Governor-General attended a meeting with the President of the European Council, Mr Herman Van Rompuy.

On Tuesday 4 June 2013, at the University of Sydney, the Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO, delivered an address at the launch of the Sydney University Law Society Careers' Guide, as part of the Publicly Interested Careers Fair.

The Governor-General and representatives of the European Australian Business Council attended a bilateral meeting and exchange with Senators and other members of the Energy and Economic Committee at the Luxembourg Palace in Paris.

- Governor-General visits Ieper in Belgium

In Ieper, Belgium, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce met the Mayor, Mr Jan Durnez, before attending an investiture ceremony at the Town Hall.

- Menin Gate Memorial Last Post ceremony

At the Menin Gate Memorial, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of the Mayor, and the Chairman of the Last Post Association, Mr Benoit Mottrie, attended the Last Post ceremony at which the Governor-General laid a wreath, and later met with Australian community members.

On Monday 3 June 2013, in Paris, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, attended a briefing for the European mission by the President of the European Australian Business Council, Mr Alastair Walton.

- Roundtable meeting at Mouvement des Entreprises de France International

The Governor-General, as guest of the Chairman of the Mouvement des Entreprises de France International, Mr Jean Burelle, and accompanied by members of the European Australian Business Council, attended a roundtable discussion in Paris on the economic outlook in Australia, the Asia Pacific, France and Europe.

The Governor-General met the President of the French Republic, His Excellency Mr François Hollande, at the Élyseé Palace in Paris. Later, the Governor-General met the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr Laurent Fabius, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Paris.

At the Australian Embassy in Paris, the Governor-General attended a business seminar with members of the European Australian Business Council, which was presented by the Director of Notre Europe – Jacques Delors Institute, Mr Yves Bertoncini.

The Governor-General handed over custodianship of Ms Lena Nyadbi Indigenous artwork, ‘Dayiwul Lirmim’ (Barramundi Scales), which has been re-created as a permanent roof-top installation on the Musée du quai Branly in Paris.

On Saturday 1 June 2013, at the Hartley Historic Site, Hartley, the Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO, officially opened the Kew-Y-Ahn Bell Rock Heritage Trail and Gallery as part of community events celebrating the first European crossing of the Blue Mountain

The Governor-General, as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, presented a set of Australian Honours and Awards to the Grand Chancelier of the Légion d’Honneur, General Jean-Louis Georgelin, at the Musée National de la Légion d’Honneur, Paris.
