On Friday 8 May 2009 at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received the President of the India Australia Association of Canberra, Ms Madhu Kalia. In the evening, the Governor-General hosted a reception for the 2009 Australian Tidy Towns national finalists. Earlier, Mr Michael Bryce AM AE received the Vice Chancellor of the University of Canberra, Professor Stephen Parker.
