On Friday 21 May 2010, at the Great Hall of The University of Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended the Faculty of Law graduation ceremony, at which the Governor-General was conferred with a Doctor of Laws (honoris causa).

On Tuesday 18 May 2010, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received from His Excellency Mr Mahmoud Babaei, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Gholamali Rajabi Yazdi (Minister Counsellor), Mr Mohsen Rezaei (Counsellor) and Mr Homayun Bozorgnia (First Secretary), Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
